STUDENTS

The 3CS Job Fair and Career Exploration consists of two elements designed to engage community college cybersecurity students and recent graduates: 3CS Job Fair and the 3CS Student Track.

GREAT NEWS! TRAVEL STIPENDS AVAILABLE!

We are so excited to announce that THANKS to a grant from the National Science Foundation, students can attend the 3CS Job Fair and Career Exploration and the conference for free and receive a travel allowance.

Local Students: Students that live within 50 miles of BPCC will have their conference paid and receive reimbursement for mileage at $0.58/mile.

Regional Students: Students that will drive more than 50 miles to reach BPCC will have their registration paid, their mileage reimbursed at $0.58/mile, two days per diem at $69/day reimbursed, and two nights at the hotel (shared room/booked by 3CS).

National Students: Students that will fly to reach BPCC will have their registration paid, their transportation including airfare/bus/train/mileage reimbursed (up to $500), two days per diem at $69/day reimbursed, and two nights at the hotel (shared room/booked by 3CS).

Deadline for STUDENT STIPEND application is May 22, 2019.

(students will receive a notification on June 7th if their application is approved)

CYBERSECURITY SKILLS DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS

July 30th from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

HANDS ON CRYPTOGRAPHY

This 1-day course will provide a high-level look at both classical and modern cryptographic techniques.

SECURE SCRIPTING

Secure scripting is essential to cybersecurity, information technology, and computer science education.

INTRO TO IBM'S QRADAR

This workshop is designed to provide participants with the inspiration and resources to explore IBM QRadar.

CYBERSECURITY SKILLS JOURNAL:

Paper Development Workshop: provides participants an opportunity to interact and receive constructive feedback.

IBM CyberDay4Girls

July 29, 8:30 - 3p.m. (lunch included)

Designed for girls in grades 7 & 8, #IBMCyberDay4Girls helps to build knowledge of cybersecurity through a fun day of learning, games and giveaways! Expose young girls to opportunities in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) while they learn about solving real world problems and protecting their online identities. Students will learn about exciting careers in cybersecurity as we introduce them to female role models studying and working in the field. This day of hands-on learning and exploration will help inspire young girls and provide connections to opportunities that lay ahead.
